Pools of ʻŌheo
Oil on OP linen
Signed by the artist, lower right
The story behind this painting is: Slept overnight in my van with painter buddy, Raliegh so as to get an early start. My french easel set up was way too heavy for the trek, but I managed to drag it down there to pretty much idyllic conditions while Ral was cavorting in the (icy!) pools. We got a good start and then a serious drenching downpur. Simply impossible to continue working on location with everything literally full of water. So we dragged it all back to the studio, which actually is a long haul. (Never take an artist an a beautiful drive if you're in any type of hurry.) The resultant "plein-udio" painting is presented here.
Painted on loose OP linen. Listed price includes mounting and framing in innocuous silver plein air frame. Can be shipped loose by special request (email@example.com) for your own presentation, with rebate of framing/shipping value.
